Section I - Before you order

The proof stage is your safety net.

Before your book enters production, you review every page in our online proofing tool. You can request edits, reorder spreads, and correct any details. We do not begin printing until you click "Approve proof & order."

Please review carefully at the proof stage. Because each book is printed on demand for your order, we cannot accept returns for books where the proof was approved as-is and contains content you later wish to change.

Section II - Print quality issues

We replace qualifying print issues.

If your book arrives with a print defect - missing pages, major misalignment, damaged cover, binding failure, or the wrong item - we will arrange a replacement copy at no charge. Please contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue and packaging.

Section III - Content changes after ordering

Post-approval edits.

If you need to make a content change after approving your proof but before production begins, contact us immediately at hello@memorybinding.com. We can often accommodate changes within the first 24 hours at no charge. After production begins, changes require a reprint fee.

Section IV - Production & shipping

Production happens before shipping.

Each printed book is made on demand after proof approval. Normal production is usually 3-5 business days before the package is handed to a carrier. Hardcover and premium-finish books may require additional production time because of the binding and curing process.

Shipping speeds describe carrier transit time after production is complete. Standard, expedited, and express shipping estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates. Carrier scans, holidays, address issues, weather, high-demand seasons, and regional restrictions can delay delivery. Tracking is shared when the selected shipping method provides it.

Section V - Shipping damage

Damaged in transit.

All books ship in protective packaging chosen for the book format and destination. If your book is damaged in transit, please keep all original packaging and contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will review the photos and arrange a replacement when the damage qualifies.

Section VI - Packaging & gift notes

Protective, not custom gift-boxed.

Memory Binding books are shipped in protective mailers or boxes appropriate for printed books. We do not currently offer special gift boxes, wrapping paper, ribbon, or custom outer packaging. When available, a short gift message may be included on the packing slip or shipment paperwork.

Section VII - Refunds

When refunds are available.

Because each printed book is custom-made, approved-and-printed books are generally not returnable for a refund. Refunds are available when:

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after approval. We do not offer refunds or partial refunds for buyer's remorse, missed event dates caused by normal production or carrier timing, approved content mistakes, low-resolution uploaded images that were approved in the proof, or personal preference changes after printing.
